Women’s week symposiumWomen’s status in the society has always been a point of concern in India, and although women have been given many rights and privileges, they are not aware of most of the points and rights, and are still under the control of men mostly when seen in villages and rural area. Rural population has always shown men’s domination over women.

To make people aware of the facts, our college Vice-principal Dr. Nanda Kumar had organized a symposium in the college campus, inviting chief guest Sree Mangari Rajender and advocates Mr. Shankar Rao and Mr. Raj Kumar.

Each of them talked things related to women rights and importance of women and womens’ day. Here is a brief summary of what all happened in the symposium -

Dr. Nanda KumarDr. Nanda Kumar talked about the present situation of women in our country, and taken the example of the number of girls students in our college showing the domination of women in the field of education. Also mentioned that women have been given certain rights and reservations in education, employment etc.

Following that speech, Mr. Shankar Rao, Mr. Raj Kumar and chief guest Sree Mangari Rajender also talked on the same topic and provided good points regarding the present status and good condition of women in our country. Our Anatomy professor Dr. Aruna also shared her views regarding womens’ rights and womens’ week. Some insights -
